Are the Greek islands part of my Schengen 90 days?+
Yes. Greece is in the Schengen area, so the islands count towards the same 90 days in any 180-day period as every other Schengen country on your trip. Australian, UK, US and Canadian passport holders, for example, can stay visa-free within that limit. The EU's Entry/Exit System records your fingerprints and photo on arrival, and ETIAS has not started yet. Check your own government's travel advice before you book, as rules change.
How do you get between the Greek islands?+
High-speed ferries link the Cyclades in one to three hours, and short flights from Athens reach Santorini, Mykonos and Crete. We book the crossings and the transfers at each port, so your bags meet you at the hotel.
Which Greek islands suit a first visit?+
Santorini and Mykonos suit first-time visitors who want caldera views and lively evenings, and Paros and Naxos suit beaches and village life. Pair two or three islands rather than five, so each stay has time to settle.
Which months are best for swimming off the Cyclades?+
The sea warms from late May and stays swimmable into October. June and September give the best balance of warm water and calmer islands, while August is the hottest and busiest month.
How long should we spend in Athens before the islands?+
Two nights in Athens covers the Acropolis, its museum and a good dinner in Plaka or Koukaki. With Delphi or Meteora added, plan four nights on the mainland before you head to the islands.
Can we celebrate an anniversary with a sunset in Santorini?+
Yes. We book a caldera-view suite in Oia or Imerovigli and a private catamaran cruise timed for sunset, with dinner on board. For a milestone birthday, a private villa on Mykonos or Paros brings everyone together by the pool.
Is Crete worth visiting with the Cyclades?+
Crete is large enough for a week on its own, with the Minoan palace at Knossos and Chania's Venetian harbour. It is a short flight or fast ferry from Santorini, so it pairs well at the end of an island trip.
Can we see Meteora and Delphi in one trip?+
Yes. A private driver takes you from Athens to Delphi for a night, then north to Meteora's monasteries the next day. Most travellers allow three days for the loop back to Athens.
