Day 1 · Athens
You are met at the airport and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon the coast road runs past Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza to Cape Sounio, where the marble columns of the Temple of Poseidon look over the Saronic Gulf, with time to walk the headland.
Olympia
Day 2 · Olympia
A short stop at the Corinth Canal, then the theatre at Epidaurus with its remarkable acoustics. Pause in the town of Nafplio, visit Mycenae and the Tomb of Agamemnon, and cross the central Peloponnese by Tripoli and Megalopoli to Olympia.
Delphi
Day 3 · Delphi
Visit the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the museum. Cross the Gulf of Corinth on the Rion to Antirion bridge and follow the coast through Nafpaktos and Itea to Delphi for dinner.
Kalambaka
Day 4 · Kalambaka
A morning at the archaeological site and museum of Delphi. Then travel north to Kalambaka, the small town at the foot of the Meteora rocks, for dinner and the night.
Meteora and Athens
Day 5 · Meteora and Athens
Visit the Meteora monasteries, set on great rock towers and filled with Byzantine art. Return south through Trikala and Lamia, stopping at Thermopylae for the Leonidas monument, and transfer to the airport in the evening.

You spend two nights in Athens with a choice of the Acropolis, the Plaka or the Peloponnese before boarding at Piraeus. The ship calls at volcanic Milos, Kalamata and Corfu, then sails up the Adriatic to Kotor in Montenegro and Dubrovnik. After a day at sea you arrive in Venice.
