Day 1 · Epidaurus, Mycenae and Olympia
An early pick-up in Athens, then the coast road to the Corinth Canal for a short stop and on to the theatre at Epidaurus, known for its acoustics. After a photo stop in Nafplio, see the site of Mycenae and the Tomb of Agamemnon, then cross the central Peloponnese by Tripoli and Megalopoli to Olympia for dinner.
Olympia and Delphi
Day 2 · Olympia and Delphi
In the morning, visit the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. The road then crosses the plains of Ilia and Achaia to the bridge from Rio to Antirrio, passing Nafpaktos and Itea on the way to Delphi for dinner.
Delphi and Kalambaka
Day 3 · Delphi and Kalambaka
A morning at the archaeological site and museum of Delphi. Then drive north to Kalambaka, a small town at the foot of the great rocks of Meteora, for dinner.
Meteora
Day 4 · Meteora
Spend the morning at Meteora, where monasteries seem to hang in mid-air on top of the rocks and hold fine Byzantine art. The drive home runs through Trikala and Lamia, with a short stop at Thermopylae for the Leonidas monument, reaching Athens early in the evening.

You spend two nights in Athens with a choice of the Acropolis, the Plaka or the Peloponnese before boarding at Piraeus. The ship calls at volcanic Milos, Kalamata and Corfu, then sails up the Adriatic to Kotor in Montenegro and Dubrovnik. After a day at sea you arrive in Venice.
