Day 1 · Hersonissos
From Heraklion airport, a shared coach takes you to your hotel in the Hersonissos area. The rest of the day is free to settle in, and dinner is included.
Agios Nikolaos and Spinalonga
Day 2 · Agios Nikolaos and Spinalonga
Board a boat at Agios Nikolaos and cross Mirabello Bay to Spinalonga, where a guided walk tells the story of its Venetian fortress and its later life as one of the last leper colonies. The boat moves on to Kolokytha Bay for a swim and lunch on board, and the day ends beside Lake Voulismeni in Agios Nikolaos.
Knossos and Heraklion
Day 3 · Knossos and Heraklion
Begin at Knossos, the great palace of the Minoans, whose story reaches back more than 5,000 years. A guided walk through Heraklion follows, past the Venetian harbour and through the old town, then free time for the Archaeological Museum or the old market.
Chania and Rethymnon
Day 4 · Chania and Rethymnon
A long day in the west. Walk the old town and harbour of Chania, rest beside Lake Kournas, the island's largest freshwater lake, then follow the lanes of Rethymnon down to its old port.
Lassithi
Day 5 · Lassithi
Head into the centre of the island by Land Rover, past the drowned village of Sfendili at Aposelemis Dam and the Roman aqueduct at Lyttos. Taste raki and olive oil in Kastamonitsa, meet a local shepherd and taste homemade cheese, then look out over the windmills of the Lassithi Plateau before a long country lunch with wine and a stop at the old plane tree in Krasi.

The day is yours: the beach, the hotel pool, or a drive to explore more of Crete on your own.
Day 7 · Hersonissos
One more free day for swimming, the nearby villages or the coast.
Heraklion
Day 8 · Heraklion
Breakfast at the hotel, then a shared transfer to Heraklion airport.

You spend two nights in Athens with a choice of the Acropolis, the Plaka or the Peloponnese before boarding at Piraeus. The ship calls at volcanic Milos, Kalamata and Corfu, then sails up the Adriatic to Kotor in Montenegro and Dubrovnik. After a day at sea you arrive in Venice.

Athens → Olympia → Delphi → Athens
A five-day round trip that begins and ends in Athens. Arrive in time for an afternoon at Cape Sounion, cross the Peloponnese to Olympia, continue to Delphi, and finish with a guided morning on the Acropolis before your flight.
