Day 1 · Athens
You are met at the airport or Piraeus port and taken to your hotel. Spend the afternoon around Syntagma Square, the cafes of Kolonaki Square and the shops of Ermou Street, then wander the quiet lanes of Plaka.
Day 2 · Athens
A guided half-day takes you past the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympics were held in 1896, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Parliament, then up to the Propylaea, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. It finishes in the Acropolis Museum among the sculptures found on the hill.
Day 3 · Athens
A free day for the sights that interest you most, or time at the hotel. A four-hour food tour can start the day in Psyrri with Greek coffee and koulouri, then move through delis, pie shops and the Varvakios market to finish with meze and tsipouro.
Day 4 · Athens
Explore the hidden corners of the city on your own. The flea market around Avissinias Square in Monastiraki sells everything from old furniture to handmade crafts, and the tavernas nearby serve souvlaki and kebab. Or take a half-day drive down the coast to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.
Day 5 · Athens
After breakfast, a shared transfer takes you to the airport or port.
