Agios Nikolaos and Spinalonga
Day 2 · Agios Nikolaos and Spinalonga
From Agios Nikolaos, sail across Mirabello Bay to Spinalonga for a guided walk through its Venetian fortress and the remains of one of the world's last leper colonies. The boat continues to Kolokytha Bay for a swim and lunch on board, then you see Lake Voulismeni in Agios Nikolaos before heading back.
Knossos and Heraklion
Day 3 · Knossos and Heraklion
Visit Knossos, the great centre of the Minoan world, with a guide to explain its palace and its history. Continue to Heraklion for a walking tour of the old town and the Venetian harbour, with free time for the old market or the Archaeological Museum on your own.
Central Crete and the Lassithi Plateau
Day 4 · Central Crete and the Lassithi Plateau
Start at the Aposelemis Dam and the submerged village of Sfendili, then follow olive-lined tracks to ancient Lyttos and its Roman aqueduct. Taste raki and olive oil in Kastamonitsa, meet a shepherd for homemade cheese and look out over the Lassithi Plateau, before a village lunch with wine and a last stop at the old plane tree and spring in Krasi.
Heraklion
Day 5 · Heraklion
After breakfast, a shared transfer takes you back to Heraklion airport.

You spend two nights in Athens with a choice of the Acropolis, the Plaka or the Peloponnese before boarding at Piraeus. The ship calls at volcanic Milos, Kalamata and Corfu, then sails up the Adriatic to Kotor in Montenegro and Dubrovnik. After a day at sea you arrive in Venice.

A five-day round trip that begins and ends in Athens. Arrive in time for an afternoon at Cape Sounion, cross the Peloponnese to Olympia, continue to Delphi, and finish with a guided morning on the Acropolis before your flight.
