Delphi and Kalambaka
Day 2 · Delphi and Kalambaka
Drive by way of Thebes and Livadia to the village of Arachova on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, then on to Delphi, the most famous oracle of ancient Greece, to visit the archaeological site. In the afternoon, cross central Greece to Kalambaka for the night.
Meteora and Athens
Day 3 · Meteora and Athens
Visit the monasteries of Meteora, built by monks on top of sandstone pillars and known for their 16th century frescoes. The drive back to Athens passes Trikala and Lamia, with a short stop at Thermopylae for the monument to Leonidas, arriving in the early evening before your airport transfer.
