Agios Nikolaos and Spinalonga
Day 2 · Agios Nikolaos and Spinalonga
Board a boat at Agios Nikolaos and cruise across Mirabello Bay to Spinalonga, where a guided walk tells the story of its Venetian fortress and its later years as one of the last leper colonies. The boat carries on to Kolokytha Bay for a swim and lunch on board, and the day ends beside Lake Voulismeni in Agios Nikolaos.
Knossos and Heraklion
Day 3 · Knossos and Heraklion
Begin at Knossos, the great palace of the Minoans, with a guide to bring its 5,000-year story to life. A guided walk then takes you through Heraklion past the Venetian harbour and the old town, followed by free time for the Archaeological Museum, the old market or a coffee before you return to the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel, then a shared coach transfer to Heraklion airport.

You spend two nights in Athens with a choice of the Acropolis, the Plaka or the Peloponnese before boarding at Piraeus. The ship calls at volcanic Milos, Kalamata and Corfu, then sails up the Adriatic to Kotor in Montenegro and Dubrovnik. After a day at sea you arrive in Venice.

A five-day round trip that begins and ends in Athens. Arrive in time for an afternoon at Cape Sounion, cross the Peloponnese to Olympia, continue to Delphi, and finish with a guided morning on the Acropolis before your flight.
