Day 1 · Arenal
You are met at Juan Santamaría airport and driven north to La Fortuna, the small village that is the gateway to the Arenal Volcano. Check in and settle into the rainforest setting for the rest of the day.
Day 2 · Arenal
Meet your guide at the hotel and head to Mistico Park, where hanging bridges and platforms carry you through the canopy with views of the volcano and a running commentary on the forest. A short walk then leads to the La Fortuna Waterfall, which drops about 60 metres into a clear natural pool where you can swim. The afternoon is free.
San José
Day 3 · San José
Breakfast at the hotel, then the shared transfer back to Juan Santamaría airport for your flight home.

Fly into San José and head north to La Fortuna, at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, for two nights of hot springs, a gentle river float and lunch with a local family. Cross Lake Arenal by boat to Monteverde for a guided walk in the cloud forest, then return to the airport on day four.
