Nairobi
Day 1 · Nairobi
You are met at the airport and taken by shuttle to your hotel nearby. The afternoon is yours to rest after the flight.
Maasai Mara
Day 2 · Maasai Mara
Head down the Rift Valley escarpment, past the chapel built by Italian prisoners of war, and across the wheat fields around Narok. You reach your tented camp near the Sekenani gate for lunch, then set out on your first game drive.
Day 3 · Maasai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives in search of lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino, with lunch and a rest at camp in between. The afternoon includes a visit to a Maasai village.
Lake Nakuru and Lake Elementaita
Day 4 · Lake Nakuru and Lake Elementaita
Cross the Rift Valley floor and climb the Mau Escarpment to your lodge on Lake Elementaita, arriving around midday. In the afternoon, a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park looks for black and white rhino, Rothschild’s giraffe and the flamingos along the shore.
Lake Naivasha and Nairobi
Day 5 · Lake Naivasha and Nairobi
After an early breakfast, take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, then leave the Rift Valley for Nairobi. Lunch is provided in the city before your drop-off at the airport or a city hotel at about 1.30 pm.
