You arrive in Kenya's capital, the gateway to two countries of parks and reserves.
Amboseli National Park
Day 2 · Amboseli National Park
You fly to Amboseli, a park of savannah, wetland and dry lakebed watched over by Mount Kilimanjaro, known for its elephant herds.
Day 3 · Amboseli National Park
You watch elephants at close range and look for buffalo, wildebeest, hippos and hyenas, heading out again after lunch in camp.
Arusha and Tarangire National Park
Day 4 · Arusha and Tarangire National Park
You cross into Tanzania, stop for lunch in Arusha, then fly to Tarangire, a baobab-studded park with a large elephant population.
Tarangire National Park
Day 5 · Tarangire National Park
Morning and afternoon drives look for elephants, impala and zebras, as well as pythons and leopards in the high branches.
Ngorongoro Crater
Day 6 · Ngorongoro Crater
You visit a local village and its market, then settle into a lodge close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 7 · Ngorongoro Crater
You descend the 600-metre crater walls to the caldera floor, where wildlife roams freely across open grassland.
Serengeti National Park
Day 8 · Serengeti National Park
You fly to the Serengeti, which hosts the Great Migration for part of each year.
Days 9 to 10 · Serengeti National Park
Over two more days you explore some 26,000 square kilometres of golden grassland, looking for lions, leopards, giraffes and buffalo, with quiet hours at your lodge between drives.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Day 11 · Maasai Mara National Reserve
You fly into Kenya and the Maasai Mara, home to the country's largest lion population, and settle into your lodge on the Mara River.
Day 12 · Maasai Mara National Reserve
You can rise early for a balloon flight over the plains at extra cost, then head out on drives across savannah and riverine woodland.
Day 13 · Maasai Mara National Reserve
Between drives you visit a local village and a primary school where a clean water project gives families safe drinking water.
Nairobi
Day 14 · Nairobi
You fly back to Nairobi and rest in a day room before your onward flight.

The trip ends with three days of game drives and camp activities in the Maasai Mara.

From Nairobi you drive down into the Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara for two nights of game drives, then north to Lake Nakuru and a lakeside night at Elementaita. Two nights in Amboseli, under Kilimanjaro, close the loop back to Nairobi.
From Nairobi you fly to Amboseli to watch elephants below Kilimanjaro, then cross into Tanzania for Tarangire's baobab country. A village visit and a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater lead to three nights on the Serengeti. You finish with three nights on the Mara River in Kenya.
