Arenal
Day 2 · Arenal
An early shared transfer takes you north to La Fortuna, arriving around midday at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. The afternoon is free to settle in or explore the area, known for its hot springs and wellness retreats.
Tamarindo
Day 3 · Tamarindo
Travel west to Tamarindo on the north Pacific coast of Guanacaste, arriving in the early afternoon. Spend the rest of the day by the pool or on the beach.
Days 4 to 5 · Tamarindo
Two free days on the coast. Tamarindo is one of Costa Rica's best known surf beaches, with swimming, fishing and water sports by day and a lively town once the sun goes down.
San Jose
Day 6 · San Jose
A morning shared transfer returns you to San Jose around lunchtime. The afternoon is free for a last look at the city.
Day 7 · San Jose
After breakfast, a shared transfer takes you to Juan Santamaria International Airport for your flight home.

Fly into San José and head north to La Fortuna, at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, for two nights of hot springs, a gentle river float and lunch with a local family. Cross Lake Arenal by boat to Monteverde for a guided walk in the cloud forest, then return to the airport on day four.
