And just like that Fairies… 2021 is coming to an end! Covid-19 yet again put many of our Couple’s’ Wedding plans on hold worldwide, but love conquered all, and (finally) we had some WEDDINGS! When there is a will, there is a way and a Wedding! Couples and Suppliers had to overcome the hardships of restrictions, travel, cancellations, and postponements, to create some of the most memorable, beautiful, intimate and emotional celebrations we have ever seen.

Intimate micro-Weddings and elopements rose in great popularity this year, and although some celebrations were smaller, the love between newlyweds grew even greater and stronger. 2021 also brought forth some of the most anticipated Celebrity Weddings including Ariana Grande, Paris Hilton and Gwen Stefani.

1. Ariana and Dalton
Ariana Grande officially became wifey for lifey this year, Marrying her best friend Dalton in an intimate ceremony at their home. Channelling Audrey Hepburn’s timeless elegance by walking down the aisle in Vera Wang Haute, the stunning Bride accessorised with a bubble veil and satin bow. 2021 saw a rise in intimate, at home Wedding celebrations just like Ariana’s nuptials!
2. Erin and Ben
It was the third time lucky for Erin Holland and her Husband Ben Cutting after having to postpone their nuptials several times. They finally had their fairy tale ending in Byron Bay over two days of celebrations… and three incredible J’Aton Couture gowns. A Wedding so chic and modern – it blew us away!
3. Elizabeth and Ivo
Elizabeth and Ivo’s nuptials left not a dry eye, their story of unconditional love will touch hearts until the end of time. The Bride’s mother Magda was unfortunately hospitalised a week before their Wedding and the selfless Couple brought their Wedding forward and Married at the chapel in the hospital where Magda was so she could witness her daughter walk down the aisle and marry the love of her life.
4. Paris and Carter
In what was anticipated to be the Wedding of the year, Paris Hilton Wed her beau Carter Reum in a star-studded Wedding. Their celebrations were full of love, fun and many familiar faces but what stood out the most were Paris’ four Wedding outfits… yes four and they were all perfect! Walking down the aisle in a custom Oscar de la Renta gown, the Bride ended the night in a short frock and danced the rest of their perfect night away.
5. Daniella and Tommy
A proposal story for the ages… Tommy proposed to Daniella 3 times (yes 3!) Despite Daniella’s family and friends not being able to make it from Sydney, everything about their special day was just so perfect and romantic. This love story has to be one of our faves and most definitely speaks to the most romantic at heart!
6. Jessy and Michael
Director of Hive HQ Jessy Marshall Wed the love of her life Michael in a stunning and intimate outdoor Wedding. Celebrating with 40 of their nearest and dearest, the newlyweds held a long lunch after their ceremony under the beautiful trees and scenery.
7. Gwen and Blake
2021 saw Gwen Stefani have her sweet escape when she walked down the aisle to Marry her beau Blake Shelton. Their pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Blake’s Oklahoma ranch, with a picture-perfect backdrop and a custom Vera Wang Haute gown with a custom embroidered veil which payed tribute to Gwen’s Groom and children.
8. George and Alexcia
A love story to tell through time, primary school sweethearts George and Alexcia tied the knot this year in a Wedding fit for absolute royalty! Bride Alexcia walked down the aisle in a jaw-dropping crystal embellished Steven Khalil gown, and the newlyweds celebrated their nuptials surrounded by their loves ones among a beautiful lush white and green floral backdrop.
9. Rachit and Jainy
This cultural and colourful Wedding definitely brightened up our year! Rachit and Jainy Wed in floral paradise – their day full with so much love and colour. The Couple were faced with challenges and changes to their Wedding day yet it could not have been more beautiful!
10. Annaliese and Dean
This incredibly stylish micro-Wedding at Villa Rustica definitely caught our attention Fairies! Saying their ‘I dos’ with just 20 of their nearest and dearest, Annaliese and Dean’s intimate ceremony was picture perfect among this dreamy backdrop. A fusion of rustic and modern styling, and a stunning pink Rachel Gilbert gown, these nuptials are truly unforgettable.
11. Raquel and George
We were left speechless when we first laid eyes upon Raquel and George’s incredible nuptials – their modern fairy tale Wedding! From the Bride’s simple and unique custom gown, to their ethereal reception full of baby’s breath and fennel, their Wedding has got to be one of the most stunning 2021 has to offer!
12. Chantelle and Tanner
Fairies, we absolutely adored Chantelle and Tanner’s nuptials in Victoria earlier this year! The Bride wore a stunning Mariana Hardwick couture gown for her ceremony featuring a layered skirt and elegant leg split which created the most sophisticated and feminine Bridal look. Dancing the night away on a beautiful summer’s day surrounded by their loved ones, their Wedding couldn’t be more perfect.
13. Jess and Pat
We can definitely say this was the most unique Wedding idea we’ve seen this year Fairies… Jess and Pat got Married at a Zoo! Not only did they dine and dance an incredible nature-inspired space, they also got close up access to the sensational animal exhibits Taronga Zoo had to offer.
14. Louise and Yianni
After changing their Wedding date 4 times (yes 4), Louise and Yianni finally tied the knot in an intimate family celebration. They’re fourth postponement was brought forth by a snap lockdown in Melbourne with the Couple selling and donating all of the florals for the Wedding they would have had that weekend. As fate would have it, the pair Married on 11.11.21 proving that love will always win! We can’t wait to see part two of their Wedding celebrations next year.
15. Alyssa and Trent
Alyssa and Trent’s nuptials were the epitome of magical boho chic! Booking out the entire venue for their Wedding, they stayed the night along with their guests and were immersed on a magical journey through the historic 1920’s building. Their first dance was most memorable, moving outside under the stars surrounded by a live band, sparklers and their guests singing along.
16. Jasmine and Juan
Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes traded the runway for the aisle, Marrying her sweetheart Juan David Borrero in an enchanted secret garden Wedding. The Bride walked down the aisle in an incredible Zuhair Murad custom gown, and the newlyweds celebrating their happily ever after with a magical reception.
17. Nicole and Antony
Nicole and Antony’s nuptials were a timeless affair, their classic marquee Wedding just beautiful! Inspired by ‘Father of The Bride’ movie, their Wedding was held in a beautiful marquee at the gorgeous Springfield House. The Couple were surrounded by hundreds of lit candles, green and white florals and an incredible atmosphere.
18. Christina and Sam
Bride Christina was a true vision of elegance and fashion, being inspired by Grace Kelly. Their vintage Wedding had a modern twist at the University of Sydney, with every single detail perfect! Despite looming restrictions and challenges, Christina remained optimistic, “no matter what, you are there to Marry your soul mate. If that’s possible everything else will fall into place.”
19. Ariana and James
This ever so elegant Wedding at Brisbane City Town Hall was every bit as spectacular as we could imagine! Ariana and James tied the knot with their reception leaving their guests, and us, in awe. Every single detail about this Wedding was magical and perfect, from the Bride’s gorgeous gown to the unique architecture of the venue.
20. Natali and Chris
We were blown away by Natali and Chris’ chic Tuscan inspired Wedding at Redleaf Wollombi – Fairies it was just magic! Despite COVID and travel restrictions, the newlyweds felt like they were transported to Italy for the night with a crisp, all-white theme set against the stunning natural greenery.
21. Bianca and Bobby
Bianca and Bobby’s Wedding was oh so colourful and glamorous – a pastel dream! The Bride envisioned a unique Wedding not seen before and wow was it incredible. Vibrant florals dressed the tables and the chandelier instillation was to die for, their reception was definitely a pastel lovers’ dream!
