A little reserve by the water in Hunter’s Hill marked a very sentimental spot for newlyweds Liam and Danielle. On what seemed to be just a regular trip to their favourite spot Danielle tells Wedded, “Liam was really trying to steer the conversation toward marriage. It was not going to plan so he thought he’d drop a bombshell on his very Italian girlfriend and suggested we have a baby – out of wedlock. My response (amongst a whole heap of hand waving and very fast talking) finished in “how about we get married first and see if we like each other enough before bringing a child into the world”. And right on cue, Liam pulled a box out of his pocket, flung the lid open which had the ring fly right out, bounce a few times and into a rock pool only centre metres away from the Sydney Harbour. He was so flustered that he didn’t even ask me to marry him, he just pulled the ring out of the water and handed it to me. It was a very Liam way to propose. I said Of course”.
