    Day 1 · Bangkok

    Arrive in Bangkok

You are met at the airport and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free: a Thai massage, a first taste of the city's food, or sunset from one of its rooftop bars.

  2. Day 2 · Bangkok

The Grand Palace and great temples

A half-day tour begins at Wat Traimit and its solid gold Buddha, three metres tall, then passes through Chinatown to Wat Pho and the 46 metre Reclining Buddha. At the Grand Palace you walk among the old royal halls to Wat Phra Kaew, the temple of the Emerald Buddha, before a last stop at a gem and jewellery showroom.
