Your route

5 days
  1. Cape Town4 nights
  1. Cape Town

    Day 1 · Cape Town

    Arrive in Cape Town

Your guide meets you at the airport, drives you to your hotel and helps you check in. The rest of the day is yours: the cable car up Table Mountain, the historic city centre or the shops and restaurants of the working waterfront are all close by.

    Arrive in Cape Town
  2. Stellenbosch

    Day 2 · Stellenbosch

    A food walk in Stellenbosch

Drive out to Stellenbosch, founded in 1679 and the second oldest town in South Africa, for a walk through its historic centre with your guide. Along the way you visit the oldest restored townhouse in the country, taste rooibos tea and rusks at a family butchery, try local wines, share a heritage lunch platter with three traditional Cape desserts and finish at the town’s oldest shop. Some free time follows before the drive back to Cape Town.

    Day 3 · Cape Town

Gardens, Signal Hill and the Bo-Kaap

Start in the Company’s Gardens, first planted in the 1600s to supply passing ships, beside Parliament and the Tuinhuis. Pass the flower sellers of Adderley Street and Greenmarket Square, take in the view from Signal Hill, then walk the brightly painted streets of the Bo-Kaap and hear the story of its people. Lunch is the meal you cook with a local family: samosas, rotis and koeksisters.

    Day 4 · Cape Peninsula

    The Cape Peninsula by taste

Follow the Atlantic coast to Hout Bay for a small coffee roastery, then cross Chapman’s Peak Drive to Noordhoek for a craft gin distillery and a local brewery. Lunch is at an urban farm with food from its wood-fired oven, and the day ends with the African penguins of Boulders Beach before you return to the city.

Questions couples ask

Is this a private trip?+
Yes. A driver guide travels with just the two of you on each touring day, and your airport transfers are private too. Guiding is in English or German.
What if we would rather not drink alcohol?+
The Stellenbosch wine tasting has non-alcoholic options. Drinks with the included lunches are not part of the trip, so you order what you like.
Is there free time in Cape Town?+
Your arrival day is free, and so is the morning you leave. The Table Mountain cable car, the city centre and the waterfront are all easy to fit in, though they are not included.
