  1. Hazyview

    Day 1 · Hazyview

To Hazyview and a sunset drive

You are met at O.R. Tambo airport and taken east to the lodge for a light lunch and time to settle in, with a pool and a walking trail on the grounds. In the late afternoon you head into Kruger for a sunset and night drive, which runs longer in winter when the sun sets early, then return to the lodge for dinner around 8 pm.

  2. Kruger National Park

Day 2 · Kruger National Park

    A full day in Kruger

An early start in an open safari vehicle with a specialist ranger guide, looking for elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo. You stop at rest camps for breakfast and later for lunch, so the whole day is spent in the park, and you are back at the lodge around 4 pm with the evening free before dinner.

Day 3 · Blyde River Canyon

Blyde River Canyon and the Panorama Route

Spend the day on the Panorama Route along the Blyde River Canyon, more than 40 km long and about 1,200 m deep. Look out over the Three Rondavels, rock domes shaped like traditional round huts, and stand at God’s Window, where on a clear day the view runs as far as Kruger. Some lookouts are a 15 to 20 minute walk through rainforest, and you are back at the lodge around 6 pm.

Dawn game drive and back to Johannesburg

Leave before sunrise for a last drive, when lion and leopard are most active, with a short stop for breakfast and coffee. You are back at the lodge around 11 am to freshen up, and the shuttle leaves at about 11.30 am for Johannesburg, arriving at the airport between 5 and 6 pm.
