Sorrento and Capri
Day 1 · Sorrento and Capri
Make your way to the hotel in Sorrento and check in. At 3pm you cross to Capri by hydrofoil and circle the island by boat to see its grottoes, before being dropped in Capri town as evening falls. Wander the harbour and the boutiques, choose somewhere for dinner, and return to Sorrento at night.
Pompeii and Herculaneum
Day 2 · Pompeii and Herculaneum
You are collected from the hotel for a day at the two Roman towns buried by Vesuvius in 79 AD. A guide leads you through the Forum, temples and villas of Pompeii, and after lunch you move on to Herculaneum, the old seaside town, with its boat houses, marble floors and wall paintings.
Positano, Amalfi and Ravello
Day 3 · Positano, Amalfi and Ravello
Follow the coast road with a stop in Positano, then two hours to explore Amalfi. You stop for lunch in Pontone, one of the oldest villages in the area, and in the afternoon head up to Ravello to visit Villa Rufolo, the house that inspired Richard Wagner.

Day 4 · Sorrento
After breakfast there may be time for a last walk through the old streets around Piazza Tasso, or some shopping, before you leave.
