Day 1 · Naples
Make your way to the hotel and check in. In the evening a small group tour follows the seafront past Castel Nuovo and Castel dell'Ovo, then on to Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Teatro San Carlo and the Galleria Umberto I. It ends in the historic centre with a Neapolitan pizza and a drink, before the driver takes you back to your hotel.
Pompeii and Herculaneum
Day 2 · Pompeii and Herculaneum
You are collected from the hotel for a small group day among the ruins. At Pompeii, walk the streets of the Roman city past its houses, baths and amphitheatre, with painted rooms still surviving in places such as the House of the Faun and the Villa of the Mysteries. After lunch, Herculaneum shows how differently the eruption preserved a second town.
Naples
Day 3 · Naples
The morning is yours. In the afternoon you are picked up for a pizza lesson with a pizzaiolo, from making the dough to baking in a wood-fired oven, then sit down to a three-course meal built around your own pizza. Afterwards there is time to take in the Gulf of Naples from the heights of Posillipo.
Day 4 · Naples
After breakfast there may be time for a last walk, some shopping or a final sfogliatella before you head to the airport or station.
