Angelique Manto and David Guison Just Changed What a Modern Wedding Can Look Like

Angelique Manto and David Guison Just Changed What a Modern Wedding Can Look Like

Filipino content creators Angelique Manto and David Guison officially tied the knot in back-to-back weddings that blurred the line between fashion editorial, performance art, and modern romance, proving that 2026 bridal style no longer has to follow tradition.

The usual wedding playbook never really stood a chance with Angelique Manto and David Guison.

From the moment Angelique began documenting her “Anti-Bride Diaries,” it was clear this would not be a soft pastel, ballroom-heavy, cookie-cutter celebration. The couple built an entire wedding experience around personal style, emotional storytelling, and fashion that felt closer to couture runway presentations than traditional bridalwear.

And honestly? It worked.

The Filipino content creators officially married in not one, but two visually stunning celebrations that immediately sent social media into full breakdown mode. Every detail, from the brutalist concrete backdrop of their intimate ceremony to the crystal-studded reception looks, felt deeply intentional and unmistakably them.

In a sea of weddings chasing trends, Angelique and David created a wedding world entirely their own.

The “Anti-Bride” Era Finally Came to Life

Angelique’s “Anti-Bride Diaries” had already built curiosity online long before the wedding itself. Instead of leaning into classic bridal expectations, she openly embraced a more unconventional direction that prioritized individuality over tradition.

The result was a wedding aesthetic that felt darkly romantic, fashion-forward, and refreshingly self-aware.

Black, white, silver, gray, sculptural silhouettes, dramatic tailoring, industrial interiors, and avant-garde beauty choices became the visual language of the celebration. Rather than softening their identities to fit bridal conventions, Angelique and David amplified them.

Even their initials, “AM+DG,” sparked conversation online after followers noticed similarities to the Jesuit phrase “AMDG” or Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, adding another layer of symbolism to the wedding narrative.

Nothing about the wedding felt accidental.

Their Intimate Wedding Looked Like an Editorial Campaign

The couple first exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony held on May 19, 2026 at Sine Pop in Cubao, Quezon City.

Instead of a traditional venue overflowing with chandeliers and floral arches, they chose raw concrete interiors, towering industrial walls, and a stripped-down atmosphere that felt cinematic in the best way possible.

The venue styling by Ginger Gaddi transformed the brutalist space into something ethereal. White cascading florals softened the unfinished architecture while pedestal installations and monochromatic arrangements created a gallery-like atmosphere.

Angelique later described the ceremony online as “our intimate wedding, in fragments and promises,” which honestly captured the mood perfectly.

For the ceremony, Angelique wore a couture Jaggy Glarino gown that balanced softness and structure beautifully. The look featured a draped high neckline, gathered fabric across the bodice, and a sheer lace skirt that peeked through beneath the architectural layers. The silhouette moved elegantly without losing its sculptural quality.

Meanwhile, David wore a custom black ensemble by Russell Villafuerte that immediately became one of the standout groom looks online this year.

The outfit featured exaggerated wide-leg trousers and a sharply tailored long jacket constructed with more than 200 seams. The craftsmanship was so intricate that the designer later joked they had practically created their own fabric

Together, they looked less like a conventional bride and groom and more like the final walk at Paris Fashion Week.

The Church Wedding Went Full Couture Fantasy

Just days later, the couple held a larger church ceremony and grand reception attended by friends, family, and personalities from the fashion and content creator world.

This time, the aesthetic shifted from industrial minimalism to embellished couture drama.

Angelique wore a heavily detailed gown by Cheetah Rivera featuring intricate silver beadwork cascading across the figure-hugging silhouette. The dress carried a futuristic elegance while still feeling deeply bridal. Paired with a long veil and statement accessories, the entire look embodied the anti-bride concept she had spent months building online.

What made the gown even more meaningful was the collaborative process behind it. Angelique shared that the design began from a late-night creative exchange with the designer, allowing both of them to push beyond traditional bridal boundaries while staying emotionally connected to the story they wanted the gown to tell.

Her beauty look also became a major talking point online.

Makeup artist Jason delos Reyes gave Angelique sculpted skin, cool-toned eyes, dramatic lashes, and nude lips that felt equal parts edgy and romantic. Hairstylist Gelo Cibrian kept her hair sleek, straight, and sharply polished beneath the embellished veil, helping elongate the overall silhouette.

Even her bridal nails became part of the storytelling. Long claw-shaped nails adorned with dangling chains completed the fashion-forward aesthetic without ever feeling costume-like.

David matched the energy perfectly in a black embellished suit by Vin Orias of Orias Studios. Crystal-studded lapels, structured tailoring, and high-waisted trousers gave the look a vintage editorial edge while still feeling modern and wearable.

The Reception Felt Like a Fashion Installation

Following the ceremony, guests headed to Whitespace Manila for a reception that fully embraced the couple’s earthy, modern visual direction.

Dark wood tones, minimalist florals, layered desserts, curated tablescapes, and dramatic styling transformed the venue into something that felt more like an immersive fashion exhibit than a traditional reception hall.

And then came the after-party looks.

Angelique changed into a sparkling Neric Beltran two-piece ensemble featuring an embellished structured bodice and a dramatic sheer overskirt that revealed her legs underneath. The outfit completely abandoned traditional bridal codes and leaned fully into performance-fashion territory.

David coordinated in a black-and-white embellished ensemble with gradient beadwork and sharp tailoring that mirrored Angelique’s futuristic glamour.

It was not just an outfit change. It was a continuation of the story.

Why Their Wedding Resonated Online

The reason Angelique and David’s wedding exploded online goes beyond beautiful clothes.

People saw a couple who genuinely understood their identity and translated it into every layer of the celebration.

David’s “groom era” content and Angelique’s “Anti-Bride Diaries” created a wedding narrative that felt authentic to who they already were long before the engagement happened. Nothing felt performative for the sake of trends.

Their wedding became proof that modern weddings no longer need to fit a single aesthetic formula. They can be editorial. They can be unconventional. They can be emotional and experimental at the same time.

Most importantly, they can actually feel personal.

And somewhere between the brutalist venue, the silver embellishments, the sharp tailoring, and the handwritten vows, Angelique Manto and David Guison quietly created one of the most visually defining Filipino weddings of 2026.
