From a six-seat vehicle you watch elephants up close and look for buffalo, wildebeest, hippos and hyenas, heading out again after lunch.
Arusha and Tarangire National Park

You cross into Tanzania, lunch in Arusha and fly to Tarangire, a baobab savannah known for its elephants.

Drives look for elephants, impala, zebras, pythons and leopards, and the afternoon brings a culinary experience.
Ngorongoro Crater

You visit a local village and market, then settle into a lodge near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with time to choose your afternoon.

You descend the 600-metre walls of the Ngorongoro Crater to watch wildlife on the open caldera floor.

You fly to the Serengeti, which hosts the Great Migration for part of each year.

Your trackers take you across golden grassland in search of lions, leopards, giraffes and buffalo. You can add a balloon flight at extra cost.

You fly into Kenya's Maasai Mara, home to the country's largest lion population, and settle into a lodge on the Mara River.
Day 12 · Maasai Mara National Reserve
Morning and afternoon drives explore the Mara, where you may see Maasai herders crossing the plains with their cattle.
Day 13 · Maasai Mara National Reserve
You visit a local village and a primary school where a clean water project gives families safe drinking water.

You fly to Nairobi, rest in a day room and transfer privately to the airport.
