A purpose-built garden wedding venue on the hills of Pyrgos, inside an adults-only 10-suite hotel with 270-degree views over Santorini.

Your wedding

The Dunes sits in the grounds of Carpe Diem Santorini on the hills above Pyrgos, and it was designed for weddings from the ground up. Arrivals come down a volcanic rock staircase and through a whitewashed Cycladic gate into a natural garden of local plants. The ceremony area has a raised stage with the Aegean beyond, and ceremonies can be held at noon or in the late afternoon, depending on whether you want bright island light or sunset.

Your stay

Carpe Diem Santorini has just 10 suites, each with a private pool or jetted tub and views across the island from Pyrgos, its highest village. The hotel is adults only and opens seasonally from April to October, which suits the couple and a small inner circle, while the wider guest list stays elsewhere on the island.

After the vows, guests move to a lounge for drinks and then to the open-air dining area, which shares the same 270-degree outlook. A purpose-built reception area beside the ceremony space has weather protection, and small groups can dine close to the stage instead. The venue holds up to 150 guests, and both symbolic and legal ceremonies can be arranged, with legal ceremonies carrying extra paperwork.

Between events there is a central infinity pool, Althea Spa with treatments designed for 2, breakfast and long lunches at EXALTIS by the pool, and private chef's dinners served on a suite terrace with 48 hours' notice.
