Your wedding

Santorini Gem began as a private villa and now operates as an exclusive-hire estate on the caldera cliffs. Ceremony and reception both take place on the upper terrace and around the pool, with the volcano straight ahead. An evening wedding runs from 17:00 until 01:30, so guests arrive in the warm light, watch the sun drop into the Aegean after the vows, then sit down to dinner as the lanterns come on.

Your stay

The Gem Villa sits within the estate and has 5 bedrooms that sleep 8, 2 living rooms, a kitchen, balconies, gardens and a private pool facing the caldera. It can be booked for day use from noon or overnight, so the couple and their closest guests can get ready on site, celebrate, and wake up to the view. Breakfast is included for villa guests.

The estate supplies the practical pieces: a wooden gazebo with white curtains on request, an altar table, chandelier, Tiffany chairs, tables and linen, a sound system, a bar and in-house catering with sit-down menus. A bridal room with air conditioning and a shower sits beside the upper terrace. Couples who only want vows can book a morning ceremony from 10:30 to 11:30, then take the party elsewhere on the island.

The rest of the guest list stays in nearby Pyrgos or across the island. Between events, the caldera walking paths, Santo Wines and the lanes of Pyrgos are all close by.
