Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Already Engaged?

Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already engaged? Just when you thought that we couldn’t speculate any more wildly about the marital prospects of the royal couple, hot new gossip emerges that suggests the pair might already be secretly betrothed. Scandalous!

Coming off the back of recent speculation that a royal engagement is imminent, Us Weekly has run a story implying that in fact, Prince Harry has already popped the question. According to friends of the couple, that is.

“I think it’s already happened but they’re holding the news back until she has finished on Suits,” a friend of the duo apparently told Us Weekly. “I’ve never seen them happier. It’s amazing.”

Please note that the friend only “thinks” the couple might already be affianced! Hmm….seems a bit sketchy! Just to be clear: there’s no real reason to think that the newsworthy pair are actually engaged. The story in question is thin on actual facts, and surely friends of the couple would know the truth one way or the other!

We might be suspicious, but that doesn’t mean we don’t wish the story were true! And of course, there’s lots of reason to think that Markle and the Prince are close to making things official.

After all, Markle recently met Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and the couple have finally made their relationship public with their first appearance together at an Invictus Games semi-final tennis match.

And of course, rumour has it the pair are ready to announce their engagement officially in December. Also, wouldn’t a Christmas proposal just be so romantic?

Who knows what the truth is, but one thing’s for sure: we’d love to see a royal wedding in 2018, wouldn’t you? We’re popping the popcorn and clearing a space on the couch in front of the television already.
