Easily the hottest Israeli designer at the moment, Inbal Dror is one of those women who within minutes of meeting, you want them to be your new best friend. She is friendly, comfortable in her own skin, unguarded and genuinely excited by the opportunity to chat.
If we weren’t surrounded by a camera crew and onlookers, we could’ve just been two energetic young women gossiping over coffee.
Based in Tel Aviv, Inbal Dror has been brought to Australia by Helen Rodrigues, who will be stocking a selection of the collection at her Neutral Bay boutique. Sipping sparkling water and wearing head-to-toe black (which Inbal describes as a ‘designer’s uniform’), we discuss jet-lag (none), children (she has two angelic babies) and Israeli style (the consensus is that Israeli women are all about ‘white and bright colours to show off their bronzed skin’).
After we got all of the girl-talk out of the way, it was time to take our place in front of the camera (managed by the divine gents from Blumenthal Photography and Soda Films) and get all the detail on Inbal Dror’s newest collection, her trend predictions and the biggest mistakes that brides make when finding their dream dress.
