In this day and age, it seems like the average Hollywood Marriages breaks-up faster than you can say ‘Til death do us part’. But there is one couple who has stood the test of time – Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
They have redefined celebrity relationship goals with their 20 year marriage and adorable family (which includes two children, Jaden and Willow and Will’s older son Trey to an earlier relationship) and despite the ups and downs, they’ve managed to keep the spark alive.
So, what’s the secret to their long-lasting Marriage?
Will revealed that the answer is simple, “We’ve been married 20 years and we’ve been asking ourselves and really at the end of the day it’s just not quitting.”
‘You can’t expect it to be easy,’ Will continued, ‘It’s like our marriage was the most difficult, grueling, excruciating thing that we have ever taken on in our lives. And you know we’re just not quitters.’
He also explained that it was about improving yourself throughout the Marriage, “One thing I would say is that we never went into working on our relationship. We only ever worked on ourselves individually, and then presented ourselves to one another better than we were previously.”
Jada added that, “You’ve got to be strong… it takes work.”
We have to agree that this duo give seriously good advice. Before you get hitched, know that there will be tough times and you will have to work for your relationship. Don’t give up and stay strong!
