Wedding bells are finally ringing for country singer Lainey Wilson! The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer took to Instagram on February 12, 2025, to announce her engagement with boyfriend Devlin Hodges, a former NFL player.
In her Instagram post, the couple is seen all smiles right after the proposal took place. There were no frills or romantic decor–just the two of them in a very casual, intimate setting. Wilson has long joked about waiting for their engagement. In an interview with CMT, she said, “No pressure, brother! No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waiting!” She also quipped about wanting a massive ring in the “Country Heat Weekly” podcast: “I don’t care what shape it is, but I want to be walking with a limp.”

Wilson and Hodges have been together since 2021. The couple made their relationship public in 2023 at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. Hodges is said to have been very supportive of Wilson’s career. She mentions to PEOPLE that he is one of her “biggest cheerleaders and champions.”
