Nonetheless, here at Wedded Wonderland, we are determined to find the silver lining in everything. Because at the end of the day, love will always win.
The Facts
- The Wedding Industry annually contributes $4.3 billion to The Australian economy (estimated worth of $4.7 billion over the next 5 years).
- 112,954 weddings took place in Australia in 2019.
- 3,388 of these are overseas destination weddings.
What This Means
The current state of uncertainty, as well as the implications it has had on travelling restrictions – foresees a major economic influx towards Australian Destination Weddings. For at least the next twelve to eighteen months, there will be a significant rise in the demand for Australian Destination Weddings – particularly for couples that had been planning on celebrating overseas.
It is therefore paramount that the Australian Wedding and Events Industry is revived. Our initiative ‘Save Our Weddings’, has received an enormous amount of support and has been re-shared hundreds of times by both Couples and the Industry.
Come on Australia, help Save Our Weddings!
