Last night the internet went into a frenzy over a photo that Bachelorette Sam Frost posted on Instagram her with her beau Sasha Mielczarek, captioning it ‘Perfect Sunday night. Home with my babe @sash1313 via snapchat: fro01’.
Keen-eyed fans were quick to point out that Sam was sporting an ‘engagement ring’ on her right hand, but this morning 27-year old Sam explained the truth behind the ring.
Sasha bought the gorgeous ring on the night of the Bachelorette finale in 2016, when Sam announced to the world that he was the one she was in love with. The ‘beautiful little ring’ cost $1,000 and it’s obviously a piece of jewellery that means a lot to both of them.
Sam explained, “”He’s like, ‘Please don’t lose it, please don’t lose it, please don’t lose it’,” before she goes on to describe how she lost it while getting a spray tan (we feel you, girl!).
“He was so upset. He had these little tears in his eyes,” she went on, “He was just like, ‘It was just really important to me. It was sentimental, blah blah blah’.”
Sam then raced off to buy the ring again and then pretended that she’d actually found it. Although she says that Sasha knew she was lying, he gave her credit for caring.
The ‘engagement ring’ fiasco comes just a week after a magazine announced Sam and Sasha were expecting a baby, to which Sam had to clarify was ‘not true’ on radio.
