Just when you thought Serena and Blair were gone forever, the news has broken that a Gossip Girl reboot is in the works!

According to an industry insider, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester have both signed on and are ready to go, along with lots of other cast members, and any day now we’ll get the official word from the show creators. How exciting! The plot is all worked out, apparently, and will jump forward in time to where the characters are now in their lives, with the events of the television show long behind them.

Of course, we’re still reeling from the reveal that (spoiler alert!) Dan is Gossip Girl, so it will be interesting to see how they deal with that one in the reboot! In fact, the industry insider says they might even pretend that never happened.

So where are Blair and Serena at this stage in their lives? We’ll just have to watch to find out. We’re hoping that their lives are a bit less dramatic now…oh, who are we kidding, that wouldn’t make for good TV at all! We just hope Chuck and Blair are still together. But will Little J make an appearance? Or what about everyone’s favourite character, Dorota? The suspense is killing us! But as long as the outfits are as good as ever, we don’t really mind what happens.

And, of course, you know what we want to see the most: some fabulous Upper East Side weddings! After all, if we’re jumping forward in time that means our favourite fashionistas and drama queens are all in their mid-to-late twenties: perfect age for a first marriage. Or, hey, a third marriage, if you’re Blair.

What do you think? Are you excited to see all your favourite Gossip Girl characters again? Let us know!
