The Spring Racing Trends 2017 You Need to See

The Spring Racing Trends 2017 You Need to See

The weather is warming up. The birds are flit floating about. Flowers are bursting into bloom. Which can only mean one thing…spring has sprung and so spring racing season is finally upon us. But before you pull out your fascinator, here’s a rundown of the latest spring racing trends you need to see!

80’s Revival

No, we’re not having a flashback moment to the days of power shoulders, blue shadow and metallic scrunchies. Although we have definitely noticed some subtle 80’s trends on the runway and expect to see a few at the races. Think metallic shades, structured dresses, cut outs, polka dots and one shoulder tops.

Peachy Keen

Taking a note from the Myer’s Spring Racing Collection peachy, pink and lilacs are very much the front runners of this race. Teamed with some subtle coloured accessories and bright coral lips you’re sure to impress.

Bohemian Luxury

With this trend, you’ll look luxe but effortlessly so. Think ornate embellishments and prints paired with modern cuts that make you look ultra-chic and totally sexy. Why not add a little more glamour with statement earrings and a little red lippy.

New Romance

There’s nothing prettier than soft, sheer and whimsical pieces. And that’s exactly what you should expect from this spring racing trend. Go for pastel coloured florals and plenty of ruffles. You’ll have the ultimate feminine race day gear.

Cut-out

We’ve seen the cold-shoulder trend and the cut out trend for the past few seasons, but there’s a different type of cut out on the scene and we expect to see it alongside the race track. Abstract cut outs are all the rage and combined with thigh-skimming lengths you’ll have the perfect race-day ready outfit.

A Crown Fit for a Queen

For accessories crowns made for a warrior queen is just the trend you need to know. Look for celestial influences, gold-on-gold and anything with intricate detail. Pair your crown with some gold strappy heels.
