The Royal Baby Has Officially Been Named

Here at Wedded Wonderland, our royal radars are in full motion with the arrival of William and Kate’s third child and Harry and Meghan’s upcoming nuptials.

Swirling speculation is over for the world’s biggest wonder right now.

The third royal baby’s name has been revealed as Louis Arthur Charles.

The announcement was made on the official Kensington Palace Twitter, with the account tweeting:

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles.

The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”

According to The Standard, the name Louis is in honour of Lord Louis Mountbatten, a war hero who Prince Charles referred to as his “honorary grandfather.”

Only hours earlier, the name Albert was considered the frontrunner. A glitch on the official royal family website implied that Albert had been chosen and a page had been prepared in the lead up to the official announcement.

We’re so excited for the royal family and we can’t wait to see what roles little George, Charlotte and Louis will play in the May 19 nuptials.

Also, can we please look like Kate Middleton after giving birth? Thanks.
