The French wedding dress designers to know start with Maison Laure de Sagazan, whose Paris atelier has about 186,000 Instagram followers. Below are seven French bridal houses still designing wedding gowns in 2026, ranked by official Instagram following as checked in October 2026. Each comes with a recent look from its own account.
We finish with where to try them in Australia. If you would rather say yes to the dress in Paris itself, our France wedding guide covers planning a wedding there.

LILAR stands for Love Is Like A Rose. Designer Sandrine Rocher Derichebourg makes every gown and suit in her single atelier-showroom at 205 rue Saint-Honoré, which holds the Fabriqué à Paris label for 2026. The house makes DREAM, its silk wrap dress, on the bride herself in the atelier.

Fabienne Alagama designs her collections with her team in a studio on Réunion Island, then has each gown made to order in French workshops. Thalia, below, is shown by appointment in the brand's showroom.

Donatelle Godart, a Studio Berçot graduate who worked as a stylist for fashion magazines including Elle, started her house in 2015 after designing her own wedding dress. She fits brides by private appointment in her Paris showroom. Her It Could Be is a silk satin gown with a draped cowl back.

Instagram followers: about 6,800
Cymbeline has the smallest Instagram following on this list but the most stores. Three sisters founded the family business in Nemours in 1975, and by 2021 it had 30 single-brand stores, four of them in Paris, plus more than 200 multi-brand stockists, FashionUnited reported. Celenia, from its 2027 designer collection, is a two-piece mermaid gown and removable top in Calais-Caudry lace, designed by Lucas Anderi.
Rime Arodaky's Instagram account, at about 252,000 followers, is bigger than any house above, but she is not ranked here because she has closed her company. In August 2026 she wrote on Instagram that she chose to close it the year before, after 15 years in bridal.
Three of these houses can be tried on without leaving Australia. Carte Blanche Bride stocks Laure de Sagazan, Caroline Takvorian and Donatelle Godart at its Melbourne showroom and Sydney pop-up events. In Western Australia, Dion for Brides carries Hervè Paris, designed by Mireille Bleines, who led design at Hervé Mariage until 2013. For more Paris shopping, see our guide to French bridal boutiques.
