WW: What do you really want brides to know about your business?
At Selective Fine Fabrics, we source the finest fabrics from houses that supply international designers all around the world. Having a custom made gown with our exclusive fabrics ensures it is one of a kind! Our complimentary in house designers will help advise on styles, colours and meterages and we will guide you through fabric selection. Bridal gowns are a specialty of Selective Fine Fabrics, but we also offer an array of textiles to dress your entire bridal party, including bridesmaids and mother of the bride and grooms.
WW: Describe your best experience with a bride?
Our best experiences are always when our former year 12 formal girls come back to us 10 years later to get their wedding dresses made. It’s so touching when they share their story with us and how their formal dress left a lasting impression on them.
It is also a great feeling when we are able to specifically source a piece of lace or fabric for a bride who didn’t believe it was even possible to get in Australia; and it’s always an honour when we have New Zealand brides come all the way to Brisbane to visit us for their wedding dress fabrics.
WW: What are you passionate about? What keeps you going?
We are passionate about sourcing the latest on-trend fabrics from around the world and creating dream gowns for all our clients. We aim to bridge the gap between the Australian and the European bridal market. With between five and ten International buying trips every year, we endeavour to showcase the latest fashion in laces and fabrics to our Australian brides.
