The warmest congratulations are in order for English singer Mabel, who has given her forever “yes” to boyfriend Preye Crooks!
On the 22nd of November, Crooks popped the question to the 28-year-old hitmaker, making the engagement official with the most stunning diamond ring!
The romantic proposal was held at the library of the Colnaghi art gallery in London, a chic and elegant venue filled with paintings by the masters, sculptures, and endless shelves of books. Right after the proposal, the couple celebrated their engagement with an intimate dinner surrounded by close friends and family.
Preye Crooks’ sister TK shared a TikTok video showing the behind-the-scenes moments from the proposal. Seventy of the couples loved ones watched from above as Crooks got down on one knee in front of Mabel, the pair encircled by petite candles that gave the scene a romantic glow. The group erupted into cheers of congratulations, and the celebration officially kicked off.
“Last night I gained a sister! A woman I love with all my heart! Congratulations to my brother and new sister, my heart is exploding,” TK wrote, captioning the video.
Mabel’s massive engagement ring is definitely one for the books. Crafted by Jewelry Palace in Los Angeles, California, the customized treasure boasts a grand pear-shaped diamond flanked by a pair of tapered stones, all on a sleek white gold band. The jeweller posted close-up clips of the piece on Instagram, showcasing all of its luxe details. We think Mabel looks so glamorous with her gorgeous new ring!

Mabel, who is the daughter of Grammy-nominated Swedish singer Neneh Cherry, started dating Sony Music Senior A&R Manager Preye Crooks in 2021. Crooks is also the co-founder of music festival Strawberries & Creem. On the night the pair met, they had discussed the possibility of Mabel performing at the aforementioned music festival, which eventually became a reality in 2022!
Mabel is best known for her hit tracks “Finders Keepers,” “Don’t Call Me Up,” and “Mad Love.” She won the Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist in 2020.
