Real Wedding: An Awe-Inspiring Fantasy Wedding in Sydney

“Daniel tells me I live in a fantasy world and that I watch too many movies with extravagant scenes that never happen – but funny enough, it happened to me”. We hope you’re tuning in Fairies because here’s the story of a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic and the husband who made it all happen!

This awe-inspiring story takes place on the breathtaking Greek island, Zakynthos. Daniel and Theodora began their trip by visiting the famous Navagio beach as part of the hotel tour that had been arranged “for them”. On arrival, the pair were greeted by a driver who later, magically transitioned into the captain of their private boat. Although Theodora questioned the expenses of the trip, she was still unaware of the reality of the situation. As they reached the shores of the ‘shipwreck’ island, the mysterious captain offered to take some professional photos in sight of the spectacular views.

Overwhelmed with the beauty of the island, Daniel and Theodora struggled to believe they had finally ticked off a location from their bucket list. Next followed an intimate, romance-filled picnic on a private beach. Theodora was left in awe, unable to contain her excitement as she was witnessing her very own movie scene. So much so, that in the midst of her excitement she had not realised Daniel on one knee, ring at hand – asking for her hand in marriage.

Soon after, the mysterious captain had revealed that Daniel planned the whole trip and surprise proposal six months in advance along with a professional proposal company! The day continued with day spas and a scenic lunch, creating what Theodora describes to be a fairy-tale created by Daniel that she will always remember.

Although their proposal story was a tough act to follow, Daniel and Theodora’s wedding was just as inspiring. When asked, Theodora tells Wedded “It felt like the best party we ever went to with our closest friends and family. Exactly what we wanted! What made it so relaxing is that everything was organised, in fact our maid of honour was pregnant and on the morning the zipper of her dress broke, I had a spare dress as I bought a bigger size just in case!”

Be Inspired, Fairies!
