Real Wedding: An Amalfi Coast Inspired Wedding

After having seen Sarmein from across the room in one of her law units, Hayley felt a need to investigate her growing admiration. Falling more intrigued by his unique name, she found Sarmein on the class list and – thanks to modern day technology, added him on Facebook.

A few years down the track while visiting New York, Sarmein proposed! As they walked through the paths of Central Park, Sarmein suggested they visit the Bow Bridge which had been featured in a number of movies. He then gave his phone to a passer-by to capture the moment as he knelt down on one knee and asked Hayley to marry him!

The wedding day embodied an Amalfi Coast theme that largely comprised of decorative blues and white’s at the Halcyon House on Cabarita Beach. On arrival, guests were ushered to an immaculate pool-side location and treated to an array of champagne, signature cocktails and even an oyster and sashimi station – shucked and sliced to order!

During the ceremony occurred Hayley’s funniest memory of the day. The moment Sarmein asked his little nephew and ring bearer Sebastian for the rings. Yep, every groom’s worst nightmare, they had been left in the bridal suite. It was truly a horrifying yet humorous moment that everyone is bound to remember.

The most unique part of Hayley’s wedding day was in fact her wedding ring. The ring that had been given to her mother by her father on their engagement. Although Hayley’s father had passed while she was very young, the ring reinforced his presence on her very special day.

When asked, Hayley told Wedded “Our most special memory would hands down be having our fluffy son Winston (a toy cavoodle) standing by our side at the ceremony as Sarmein’s best man. In his Custom-made tuxedo with his initials embroidered on it.”
