Mirta and Pasko initially met at a grammar competition in elementary school. However, after what seemed to be a few ordinary bus trips and conversations home from school, they parted ways and began separate journeys. As fate would have it, 10 years forward and in another city, the pair came face to face once again!
In one of the dreamiest proposals yet, Pasko took Mirta for a sail around the Adriatic Sea on his speedboat. He then told her to hold the helm while he prepared to anchor. Kneeling on one knee, ring ready at hand, he told her to turn around and asked her to marry him!
September in Croatia meant a day of warmth and the perfect summer breeze. For these two self-proclaimed introverts, a wedding of 250 guests almost felt like quite a challenge. However, the idea of sharing their special day with their closest family and friends, made it all easier to bare, to a day that become nothing less than perfect.
A wonderfully intricate ceremony was held at Kastelet Mestrovic, with an artistic-ministerial complex by the sea. After having walked down the aisle to her godmother’s string quartet, it was time for the reception! A big tent by a little garden was the perfect setting for a multiple course dinner, alongside a live band and DJ.
Mirta tells Wedded Wonderland that one of their greatest wedding moments came at the end of the evening when they were joined by guests, bare-footed on the grass, dancing under the rain.
