A Paola Navone-designed resort on the tip of Cape Yamu, facing the karsts of Phang Nga Bay, that hosts up to 200 guests on a full buyout.
COMO Point Yamu sits on a private headland on Phuket's quieter east coast, so ceremonies look across the limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay rather than a busy beach. The main outdoor setting is The Lawn, a 252 square metre manicured space framed by tropical planting, used for vows, receptions and sunset gatherings. Contemporary and traditional Thai ceremonies are both offered, and the resort takes everything from a handful of guests to a full buyout of up to 200.
The resort has 79 rooms and suites and 27 private pool villas, all with interiors by Paola Navone drawing on Phuket's Peranakan heritage. Bay Rooms and Bay Suites face the sea, Phang Nga Pool Rooms add private pools, and villas run from 2 to 4 bedrooms with pools, making them good bases for families or the bridal party.
After the ceremony, drinks often move to Aqua Bar or the Sunset Lounge, with its floor-to-ceiling windows over Cape Yamu. Dinner can be a seafood barbecue on the ocean-facing lawn, a formal meal in La Sirena, which seats up to 240, or a Southern Thai feast at Nahmyaa for up to 80. Smaller groups can book the private dining room for up to 20, where the chef serves an 8-course tasting menu. A dedicated events executive coordinates each event.
Between events, guests can cruise Phang Nga Bay on Capricorn II, take a 15-minute longtail to Rang Yai Island, join a half-day Old Town tour or hike to Black Rock Viewpoint. COMO Shambhala Retreat offers yoga, hydrotherapy and Thai massage, and Play by COMO looks after children.
The resort can be booked outright for weddings of up to 200 guests.
