The journey

Two nights in Istanbul for the old city and the Bosphorus, three on the Aegean coast at Kusadasi for Ephesus, Sirince and Pamukkale, then two in Cappadocia among the cave churches and fairy chimneys. Domestic flights do the long hops, so the days are spent seeing rather than sitting.

Highlights

  • Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque
  • A cruise on the Bosphorus
  • Ephesus and a Sirince wine tasting
  • Cave churches of Goreme
The domes and six minarets of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul

Questions couples ask

Do we travel with other people?+
Yes. Touring runs on a shared air-conditioned coach with an English-speaking local guide on days 2 to 5 and day 7.
Are the domestic flights included?+
No. The three short flights, Istanbul to Izmir, Izmir to Kayseri and Kayseri back to Istanbul, are booked separately. Airport transfers at each end are included.
How much luggage can we bring?+
Domestic flights in Turkey often allow 15 to 20 kg of checked luggage and 8 kg in the cabin, depending on the airline, so pack light.
