    Day 1 · Lima

    Arrive in Lima

You are met at the airport and taken to your hotel. In the evening, a private transfer takes you to dinner at Huaca Pucllana, a restaurant within the grounds of an adobe pyramid raised by Lima's early people more than 1,500 years ago, serving Peruvian fusion dishes.

  2. Day 2 · Lima

Markets, pisco and the old town

Start at a local market to see the range of Peruvian produce, then join a class to make pisco sour, the national drink, and cook traditional dishes that you eat for lunch. In the afternoon, tour the UNESCO-listed colonial centre: the main square, the 16th-century Cathedral and Casa Aliaga, still owned by the family it was granted to in Pizarro's time. Finish at the Larco Museum, a colonial mansion on a seventh-century pyramid, known for its pre-Hispanic gold and silver.
