Day 1 · Arequipa
You are met at the airport and taken to your hotel. The tour starts at the Plaza de Armas and its cathedral, then the Santa Catalina convent, a walled village of coloured lanes and cloisters that was closed to the outside world for centuries. End in Yanahuara and Carmen Alto, with El Misti volcano rising above the city.
Colca Valley
Day 2 · Colca Valley
Drive through Yura and across the Pampa Cañahuas reserve, home to wild vicuñas, then past the Chucura volcano to the Patapampa lookout at about 4,800 metres, with the volcanoes around Arequipa on the horizon. Lunch is in Chivay before you reach your valley hotel, and the afternoon is free.
Colca Canyon and Arequipa
Day 3 · Colca Canyon and Arequipa
Head to the Cruz del Condor lookout above a canyon more than 4,000 metres deep, where condors ride the morning air. On the way back, stop at the riverside villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque and at the Antahuilque and Choquetico lookouts, then return to Arequipa after lunch.

A night in Lima, then up to Cusco for the old Inca capital and a night in the Sacred Valley. A train carries you to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco, before a full day crossing the altiplano to Puno, where a boat takes you to the Uros and Taquile islands on Lake Titicaca.

You start with a food market and a bike ride through Lima, then head into the Sacred Valley for a llama-escorted walk and a village visit.
