Delhi and Jaipur
Day 2 · Delhi and Jaipur
Drive past India Gate, the President's residence and the parliament buildings of New Delhi, then stop at the Qutub Minar and its ancient iron pillar on the way out of the city. Continue to Jaipur, the Pink City, with the rest of the day at leisure.
Jaipur
Day 3 · Jaipur
A morning at the Amber Fort, whose Sheesh Mahal is lined from floor to ceiling with mirror work, with a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal on the way. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, part of it still home to the royal family, and the Jantar Mantar observatory.
Fatehpur Sikri and Agra
Day 4 · Fatehpur Sikri and Agra
Drive towards Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the capital Akbar built and abandoned within a few years for lack of water. In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal, the white marble tomb Shah Jahan raised for Mumtaz Mahal.
Agra and Delhi
Day 5 · Agra and Delhi
A morning at Agra Fort, built of red sandstone and the same Makrana marble as the Taj Mahal. In the afternoon you drive back to Delhi for your last night.

Breakfast at the hotel, then your transfer to Delhi's international airport.

Begin in Delhi, then fly east to Varanasi for the evening ceremony on the Ganges and a dawn boat ride. From there you follow the temples of Khajuraho and Orchha to Agra and the Taj Mahal, then the forts and palaces of Jaipur before driving back to Delhi.
