A free morning, then a guided afternoon inside the 4th-century palace at the heart of the old town: the cellars, the Peristyle, the Roman temples now used as churches, the cathedral and baptistery, and the Golden Gate.
Day 3 · Split
Explore on your own, or take a private driver and guide to the Krka waterfalls, the prosciutto villages in the hills or the island of Hvar.
Zagreb
Day 4 · Zagreb
At the agreed time, a private transfer takes you inland to your hotel in Zagreb. The rest of the day is free.
Day 5 · Zagreb
Walk the old upper town, Gradec and Kaptol, past St Mark's Church, the Lotrscak Tower, the funicular, the Stone Gate and the hand-lit gas lamps. Then cross Ilica to the lower town, the Dolac market and Ban Jelacic Square, and stop at one of the city's many open-air cafes.
Day 6 · Zagreb
Stay in the city, or head out with a private driver and guide to the old town of Samobor for its custard slice, or north into Zagorje for Veliki Tabor fortress and Trakoscan castle.
Day 7 · Zagreb
Breakfast at the hotel, then a private transfer to Zagreb airport at the agreed time.
