Taiyuan and Pingyao
Day 2 · Taiyuan and Pingyao
Your guide collects you in the morning for Jinci Temple, the leading temple complex in Shanxi, set among gardens and springs at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain. After lunch at the Qiao Family Compound, a merchant home known for its carving in wood, brick and stone, continue to Pingyao and check in for an evening within the old town.
Pingyao and Taiyuan
Day 3 · Pingyao and Taiyuan
A half-day walk around the old city and its walls, then lunch and a short drive to Shuanglin Temple, home to more than 2,000 painted clay figures from the 12th to the 19th centuries. You are back at your Taiyuan hotel around 6 pm.

After breakfast, a private transfer takes you to Taiyuan airport or railway station for your onward journey.
