Cape Kudu Hotel sits on Koh Yao Noi, just east of Phuket, and its weddings are deliberately small. Rooms are Deluxe and Deluxe Seaview, the latter at 45 square metres looking over Phang Nga Bay, with Pool Villas of 62 square metres, the 90 square metre Robinson Crusoe villa and Baan Yu Yen for groups.
The hotel schedules the wedding on the second day of a 2-night stay, which gives everyone time to arrive by boat and settle in. Receptions can be a seated set menu or a relaxed buffet, cocktails can be served on the beach as the sun drops behind the headland, and a late party can continue on the sand with private waiting staff. Drones are not allowed without management approval, so tell the hotel early if your photographer plans aerial shots.
Between events, guests can hire mountain bikes for the island's quiet roads, take the Kudu Wanderer boat to Koh Kudu's lagoon and the Big Tree at Ao Kian, ride a longtail to Koh Hong, or book a sunset cruise. Back at the hotel there is an infinity pool, Cape Spa, a yoga terrace, Thai cooking and Thai boxing lessons, and batik painting in the village.
