Villa Feronia is a 14th-century estate on the outskirts of Florence, once the home of a celebrated Renaissance painter. Its grounds take in olive groves, vineyards, a pond, oaks and cypresses, and the designed gardens look straight across to the city and the dome of the cathedral. Ceremonies are held outdoors with that view behind, and the estate can take about 140 guests outside or 90 indoors.
The estate has 20 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms spread across the main villa and 4 annexes, each with its own living area and full kitchen, sleeping up to 37 guests. Most rooms are en suite with marble bathrooms, and all have air conditioning and walk-in closets.
Aperitivo usually runs around the infinity pool and the decorative courtyard pool, before dinner is served al fresco on the terraces as the city lights come up. Food and extra services are handled only by the villa's own management and staff, which keeps the day consistent from welcome drinks to the last dance. With 5 separate buildings, the bridal party, parents and friends can each have their own base and still be steps from the celebration.
Daily housekeeping, turndown, continental breakfast and a concierge are included. Between events, guests swim, use the spa area, pick from the vegetable garden, or head into Florence for the Uffizi and the Oltrarno. Chianti wineries are close, and Lucca and Siena are each under an hour away.
