Picture your wedding at Borgo Castelvecchi
A medieval hamlet above Radda in Chianti, recorded in 1043, hired exclusively for weddings with an 18th-century chapel, Italian garden and overnight space for 100.
Your wedding
Borgo Castelvecchi is a real medieval hamlet in the hills above Radda in Chianti, roughly halfway between Florence and Siena. It is a historic residence and is booked exclusively, so the square, garden, manor house and cellar belong to your group for the celebration. Symbolic ceremonies take place in the small 18th-century chapel or outdoors in the garden, and the oratory of San Michele can host a blessing.
Your stay
Guests sleep across the hamlet. Rooms sit in the stone rustici around the square, once farmworkers' homes, with exposed beams, terracotta floors and private bathrooms, and more rooms are on the ground floor of the manor house facing the park. Apartments for 4 to 6 are in the farmhouses, and apartments for 2 to 4 are on the villa's 2nd floor with valley views.

After the ceremony, aperitivo is usually served in the Italian garden, followed by dinner from the in-house restaurant team, who cook Tuscan dishes and pour the estate's Chianti Classico. Couples can add a tasting under the pergola overlooking the vines, a pool party, an open bar, fireworks or an ice cream cart. The main floor of the manor house can be booked for getting ready and a bridal brunch.
The 7 x 15 m pool sits on a lawn below the park wall. Between events, guests walk to Volpaia, cycle the Chianti roads, book a wine tasting in the historic cellar or join a cooking class.
