Villa Clodia sits in Manziana, in the Lazio countryside north-west of Rome, and is licensed as a municipal venue for civil ceremonies. That means the legal ceremony and the reception can both happen on the property. Couples often say their vows outdoors with Lake Bracciano in view, then move to the Panoramic Terrace by the pool for aperitivo, where the outlook takes in the lake and the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle.
The villa has 11 rooms over 3 categories. 4 Junior Suites and 4 Deluxe Classic rooms sit inside the historic house, several with frescoed ceilings, original fireplaces or lake views. 3 Classic rooms are in a separate dependance with private entrances, which suits friends who like a little distance. All rooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms.
Dinner usually runs on the Upper Terrace, which seats up to 250 guests at long tables under hanging lights with the villa behind. If the weather turns, the air-conditioned Banquet Hall inside the villa seats up to 180, so there is a real indoor option rather than a squeeze. The kitchen writes each menu from scratch around seasonal Lazio produce and handles vegetarian, vegan and allergy needs, and tastings can be arranged before the day.
A buffet breakfast runs each morning, and lunch and dinner can be served on site, with full board available for wedding groups. Between events, guests swim, sit in the garden or head down to the lake and the town of Bracciano.
The villa is a municipal venue, so the legal ceremony and reception share one address.
