The President is set on Colle Parisi, about 2 km up the road from Sorrento towards Sant'Agata, so the whole town and the Bay of Naples sit below the building. Its event salons are all panoramic. Verde Mela, a bright room facing the peninsula and Vesuvius, and Il Sogno, on the terrace above Sorrento with several balconies, are the 2 main rooms, together hosting events for roughly 40 to 180 people.
Guests can stay on site across 10 room types, from standard doubles with balcony to sea-view junior and senior suites, triples and quadruples for families, and a superior double with its own outdoor jacuzzi. Many rooms face the Gulf of Naples.
A typical day runs from a civil ceremony in town, often at the Chiostro di San Francesco, back up the hill for aperitivo on the terrace while the light changes over the bay. Dinner follows in the salons with Neapolitan and Italian cooking from the hotel kitchen, and the rooms can be cleared for dancing. The hotel has its own wedding coordinator and keeps a suite for the couple.
Between events, guests have the panoramic pool, the beauty centre and gym, and a hotel bar for aperitivo. A free shuttle makes regular runs to Sorrento centre, from where boats leave for Capri and Ischia, and the hotel points guests to day trips to Naples, Pompeii, Paestum and the Amalfi Coast.
